Sharing maps in the classroom contributes to put a context to a lesson and to engage students. Maps are interactive and inspiring.
One online map is particularly well suited for classroom use. National Geographic MapMaker provides high quality maps with custom legends, layers, markers and data. The custom maps can be shared, allowing multiple pedagogical scenarios:

To share a map with your students, you can proceed as follow:
- Open National Geographic MapMaker
- Move the map and zoom to locate the place you want to share.
- Share your map using the MapMaker share button. The only extra step is to provide an email address.
- Now you can share the map with your students using your favorite “Share to classroom” solution (see below)
